When The Great Khali first appeared on Smackdown he was an unnamed monster who came out and interrupted a match between The Undertaker and Mark Henry who had a rivalry going on at the time. Khali went into the ring and destroyed the Undertaker and everyone marveled at the size and stregth of this unnamed giant. Khali was escorted to the ring by his manager at the time Shawn Daivari. The next week on Smackdown Daivari inroduced this giant to the wrestling world as "The Great Khali". Khali grabbed the mike and spoke but in a foreigh language that most could not understand. The following week he had his first match against Funaki and completely dominated the match and since then has dominated all of his opponents. Khali had a great rivarly with then World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mesterio and when they battled it was compared to David and Goliath, of course Khali was Goliath. Khali beat Mysterio but did not win the championship belt because it was a non-title match. Another famous rivalry was with Undertaker. After the Undertaker rivalry Khali went to the ECW for a while and then to RAW. He came back to Smackdown via the WWE draft on June 11th, 2007. On July 20th Smackdown World Heavyweight Champion Edge had to give up his belt due to a injury that will keep him out of action for a while. Smackdown GM then set up a 20 man Royal Rumble in which the winner would be the new World Heavyweight Champion. It came down to Khali, Batista and Kane, Khali eliminated them both and became the WWE Smackdown World Heavyweight Champion. At 'Unforgiven' in September of 2007 Khali had to defend his title in a triple threat match along with Batisa and Rey Mysterio. Batista beat Khali and took the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Khali participated in the Elimination Chamber match at 'No Way Out' but was eliminated by the Undertaker. He also participated in a 24 man battle royal at Wrestlemania XXIV but was eliminated. His last big match was at Backlash where Khali battled the big Show. Khali lost the match when the Big Show leveled him with a choke slam.
